Hello beautiful humans,
Hope you are all keeping warm and well. It’s a crazy time with the unpredictability, lockdowns , restrictions and whether to vaccinate or not. One moment, we feel ok and then not so ok or unsure about whats happening. It is challenging to make plans only to find out that everything is postponed.
I was reading Yoga Australia – June which wrote that it is a tricky time for yoga teachers to be able to hold the space with “imagination, creativity and authenticity” when everything is overtaken with media and rules. I am finding it challenging to hold that space for others. Also, I have a few big art projects and yoga therapy and art therapy studies in the next few months and will not have the energy to extend this to yoga/art classes. Sadly, I will have to postpone all classes, workshops and events to term 4.
I will continue to see current clients for this term.
I encourage you to create a space for yourself – turn off your phone, tv, computer. Light a candle or turn on the oil infuser, roll out your mat and sit quietly with some breath work, chanting a feelgood word. Practicing mindful yoga, feed your body with warm healthy food, breathworks, going for walks, spending time with nature, being kind to yourself and to others will help to make your heart lighter and finding that stillness.
If this is challenging, try writing in your journal before you go to bed, one to three good things that happened to you today or anything you are grateful for. Developing compassion for yourself and everything around you can help you to breath easier.
There will be a new moon on 10th of July, a perfect time to write down your intentions, make fresh starts and new beginnings. The night will be dark , its perfect to view the stars, planets and shooting stars. Take some time to look at them and reflect where you are at this moment.
